Jose “Joe” Manuel Lopez, 62, passed away on September 1, 2011. Joe was born on October 30, 1948 in Weslaco, TX to Manuel and Sofia (Perez) Lopez. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 25+ years of service. He enjoyed coaching his boys with their sports and also coaching his middle school football, track and basketball teams. Joe loved teaching and spending time with his children and grandbabies.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Katherine Lopez. Survivors include his children, Steven, Daniel, Andy and Robert Lopez, Cindy Mills, and Victoria Anson; and six grandchildren.
The family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date.
