I had gotten an unexpected call from joey one day when osu was playing football he said give me 50 points. I asked why would I want to give you 50 points? If the other team wins I get 50 points. I asked well how many points do I get if my team scores he said 5 or 10 something like that I said what? How is that fair? Anyway he knew I didn't understand the scoring he asked me if my boyfriend was home to explain it. I said no and he said he would keep score for me. And when the other team intercepted. I asked him what was that? Is your team getting lazy on ya. Lol

Joey and I were in youth group together at Faith Center Fellowship. Here's a pic of all of us.

I was Joey’s 6th grade teacher at Traub Elementary. Joey was wonderful. He worked hard, always had a smile for everyone, and was a great friend to his classmates. Joey made me so happy to come to school everyday. I am heartbroken that he is gone, but he will never be forgotten. 

I have many joyful memories of Joey. One of my fondest memories is when we were teens at Frontier City on Senior Night. There was a shooting and everyone in the whole park began to run in one direction in mass panic. I tripped and fell and was about to be trampled over by the crowd but Joey quickly reached down to pick me up before that could happen. He saved me and made sure we all got out of the park safely.  I’m so glad he was there.
Another memory I have is when a few of us went to Arbuckle Wilderness in Joey's pickup truck. I believe it was Melissa and I that had the crazy idea to ride in the bed of the pickup while we went through the park as open targets for the animals. The ostriches and buffalo were taunting us and we were screaming. You better believe Joey got the biggest kick out of this! 
Our little group at church was always doing something fun and Joey was always making everyone laugh. I'll never forget that when I dyed my hair brown once and asked him what he thought he said, "You look like a teddy bear".  ha ha! He always brought a smile to my face. He was a joy to be around and know. I loved his jokes and goofy sense of humor.
Joey, I’m so so sorry for all that you’ve been through. There are really no words.  You were a great friend, Joey. I’m sorry that we lost touch. I'm sorry that you are no longer here to make us laugh and bring smiles to our faces. I'm praying for your family. You will be deeply missed. 

Joey played baseball with my youngest son.  I coached Joey for gosh..  6 yrs maybe.  He was a good kid who loved the sport and gave all he had every practice and games.

Joey was an amazing person he was the most selfless giving loving man ive ever met. Joey always had a smile on his face and would brighten up your day just being around him. Heaven got a special angel when joey passed. Im gonna miss those phone calls from joey about cars. Love you brother fly high
