Julius Everett Freeman (Big E) 89 years young was born to Chester Grady and Chellie Mae Freeman on December 21st, 1928 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Big E went home to the Holy Kingdom on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 4:45 p.m. after suffering Pneumonia complications.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Willa Jean Freeman, his parents and one brother Ernest Freeman. He is survived by 3 children, Cathy Lynn Riddle, Stephen Ray Freeman and (and wife Barbara) Vickie Diane Wolfe (and husband Dave Wolfe) 8 Grandchildren, Rick, Daryl, Nicole, Jennifer, Sarah, Matt, Ashley and Ross and 14 Great Grandchildren a host of other family members and many friends.
Big E was a member of the Naval Reserve where he served briefly on a Destroyer Escort. He was a member and Deacon of The Seventh Day Church of God in Del City, Oklahoma and a Lifetime Member #974 of Downed Bikers Association, Okla. City Chapter.
He quit school after the 8th grade to help take care of his family and worked briefly as a soda jerk in a local drugstore. He became a self taught oilfield electrician working for Dorchester Electric for a couple of years before striking out on his own and opening up United Electric Company. He was offered a position as Head of the electrical department for Helmerich & Payne International Drilling, where he worked until he retired.
Big E was one of a kind. He loved golf, going to the lake and mostly riding his trike with his family and his motorcycle family, especially his Downed Bikers Association brothers & sisters. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved everyone unconditionally and everyone loved him. He definitely set the bar high for the rest of us!
