June 28, 1967 – December 8, 2025
Karen Renee Taylor, 58, of Prince George’s County, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2025, in San Diego Ca, following cardiac arrest.
Karen was born on June 28, 1967, to Abigail and Gale Poole. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, a beloved sister, and a friend whose love was felt most deeply through the way she cared for the people around her.
Karen leaves behind her beloved spouse, Terry Taylor; her children, Elizabeth, Jonathan, and Samatha; and her grandchildren, Ashlyn, Aubree, Austin, Ezra, and Adrian. She also leaves behind her sisters, Janice and Terri, along with countless family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Abigail Clymer; her father, Gale Poole; her stepfather, Larry Clymer; and her older sister, Reesa.
If there was one thing Karen made sure of above all else, it was that her children and grandchildren were taken care of. Being a mother and grandmother was one of the greatest parts of who Karen was, and her children knew they could always count on her. She loved playing her video games, doing crafts and decorating things for the holidays. She also loved putting together puzzles, shopping, dancing, and listening to music. She knew how to enjoy herself and find happiness in life's simple pleasures. Her laughter, her personality, and the little things she did every day are the memories her family will hold onto when they miss her most.
The loss of Karen leaves a space that cannot be filled. Her family will miss having her there for the holidays, her love and care, her presence, and the comfort of knowing that Mom, Grandma, and Karen was always there. They will miss the things that once seemed ordinary—her voice, her laughter and simply having her nearby.
Although Karen's life ended far too soon, the love she gave will not end with her. It lives on in her spouse, children, grandchildren and in every person whose life she touched.
Her family will continue to tell her stories, remember the holidays she loved, and hold close the memories she gave them. And in all the moments when they wish she were still here, they can remember that she spent her life doing what mattered most to her—loving and taking care of her family.
Karen was deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed. And she will never be forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Karen.
Your love will live on in all of us, forever.
