

Kathlynn Rae Kerr passed away June 27, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was born April 23, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Sidney Kerr and Dorothy Phillips (King). In 1973, Kathlynn become a Jehovah Witness and was very proud to speak about her faith to everyone. In her later years she would have a bible study every day whether it was her reading the bible or having a bible study with her friends. She was a dog lover and had many little dogs that were her companions over the years but most importantly, Jehovah and her family was her number one. Her grandchildren always called her “Grandma Honey”. Kathlynn enjoyed cooking and baking and one of her specialties was her famous banana nut bread. She always said that she wanted to put together her own cookbook with all of the recipes that she had collected over the years. Kathlynn’s favorite drink was diet Dr. Pepper. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Betty. Kathlynn was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Phillips; son, Christopher Stewart; and grandparents, “Mammy” and “Papa”. Survivors include her father, Sidney Kerr; children, John Stewart, Tamara Cohran; sisters, Vicki Sheehan and Nakita Gail Burzynski; brothers, Dennis Kerr and Kevin Kerr; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; best friend, Betty Starkey; and host of family members and friends. Kathlynn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2015 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in McCloud, OK with interment to follow at Rossville Cemetery.
