Kenneth E. Mitchell

Ken graduated from Arkansas College, now known as Lyon College in Batesville, Ark. He Received his Master's degree in Accounting from Oklahoma University. He then worked for Kerr-McGee Corp. until he retired. Ken enjoyed singing with his church choir and the Barbershop Quartet. He was a long time member of Capital Hill Lions where he was proud to have a perfect attendance record. Additionally he was with Toastmasters. Ken served our country for a total of 34 years in both the Army and Navy. He enjoyed traveling with the Navy and with his beloved wife, Delores, who survives him.

On May 13, 2014, Ken and Delores celebrated 53 wonderful years of marriage. Their holding hands, big smiles and sweet laughter will be a legacy to the nieces and nephews they have loved so dearly and to all whose life they touched. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline "Mitch" Boggess (Alvin).

Graveside Service will be 9:30am, Friday, June 27, 2014 at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK. Funeral service will be held at 10:45am, Friday, June 27, 2014 at Southminster Presbysterian Church, Oklahoma City, OK.
