Kimiko was born on Okinawa, Japan to Tsuru Kameshima and Shinan Miyagi. While working on Kadena AB, she met and married a handsome Air Force airman from Hawaii, Edwin Higa. Ed happened to be of Okinawan descent. After Ed retired from the service 30+ years ago they decided to make Oklahoma their home.
Kimiko was known to be a very caring person who helped many of her friends and fellow church members. She was an active SGI member whose strong belief helped those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin, and daughter Carol and spouse Kirk, daughter Christine and spouse Ajith and son Keith and her sisters, Setsuko, Sue and Michiko.
A memorial service for Kimiko will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
