

Lawrence Troy Lowe was the fifth child of eight children born to Diamond C. Lowe and Maggie BoBo Lowe in Wellston, Oklahoma on August 7, 1941. He attended Dunbar Public Schools and Wellston High School with his siblings and friends. Lawrence accepted Christ at an early age and attended Lane Chapel CME Church in Chandler, Oklahoma where he served on the Stewards Board. He was a kind man, mentor and friend to everyone he met. Lawrence later moved his membership to St. John CME Church in Spencer, Oklahoma under the direction of Reverend Anthony L. Walker until his health failed.
Lawrence met and later married Maggaline Neal on May 17, 1962 and to this union seven girls were born and raised in their family home in Spencer, Oklahoma. He adopted Anastasia (Stacey) Pittman in 1982 and she became a part of their loving family. He taught his daughters the importance of family, love, and being there for one another. Lawrence never allowed them to argue or fight, but taught them that they were stronger together.
He was a phenomenal cook at Jamil’s Steakhouse in Oklahoma City for over 20 years. Everyone knows that he could grill like nobody’s business. Lawrence loved to fish, hunt, ride horses, and was a member of The Paraders Roundup Club, worked on cars, loved gardening and traveling, and enjoyed watching sports, his favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Lawrence worked at the Midwest City Public Works Administration as a Sanitation Commercial Supervisor for over 30 years until he retired. He met and married Pamela Diane Smith, on December 21, 2006. Lawrence was very instrumental in raising, loving, and mentoring her three sons Kiyonte, Cedric and Evan Smith. He helped raise these boys from a very early age as their father alongside Pam. They loved him dearly, and grew up to become responsible and respectable men due to his guidance. Lawrence and Pam attended St. John CME Church, loved to host big family gatherings and holiday parties, they traveled, toured wineries, played at Casinos, listened to the blues, cooked and grilled BBQ, taking walks on the beach, and attended NBA Basketball Games of the Los Angeles Lakers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Anita Jo Lowe; four brothers: Leon Lowe, Sr., William Henry Lowe, Charles Lowe, and Wayne Lowe; two sisters: Lauran Ann Neff and Margaret Lowe; Maggaline Neal Lowe; his father-in-law: Floyd Smith, Sr., one sister-in-law: Jackie Smith; and one nephew: Terrell Ward. Lawrence leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife Pamela Lowe; seven daughters: Michelle Hutson, Laticia (Bob) Davis, Deborah Lowe, Tina Lowe, Angela Lowe, KaShawn Lowe, and Anastasia A. Pittman; three stepsons: Kiyonte (Lisa) Smith Sr., Cedric Smith, and Evan Smith; eight grandchildren: Earl (Kanitha) Berry, Jr., ChaKeyla Berry, DonShae Lowe, Ajay Pittman, Heaven Smith, Kiyonte Smith, Jr., Elijah Smith, and Isaiah Smith; four great-grandchildren: Akarrē Berry, MoSheh Berry, Eriel Berry, and NaRyia Lowe; one brother: Ralph Lowe, Sr.; mother-in-law, Ruthie Smith; one brother-in-law: Floyd (Betty) Smith; two sisters-in-law: Felicia (Phillip) James, and Kimberly Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
