Leonard Emery Woodworth, affectionately known as “Buddy” passed away on September 7, 2023 in Oklahoma City. Leonard was born on January 20, 1944 in Oklahoma City to Lloyd Leonard Woodworth, and Zella Faye Gillespie Woodworth. Leonard grew up in Del City, OK along with his sisters, Margo, Carol, Cherry, and brothers Larry and Lloyd. After graduating from Del City High School he would go on to join the United States Army where h made rank as Private first Class. One of his proudest achievements was being honorably discharged from the Army.
Leonard loved helping those who were hurt or in need including animals. He also enjoyed making rockets which was one of his favorite hobbies. His proudest moment came when he accepted Jesus Christ into his life.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, and his five siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory numerous nieces and nephews and his good friends Orville “Sonny” Patterson and Julia Watson.
Leonard was the last of the Woodworth children to pass from this life and will be truly missed!
