Lois May (Cook) Bowerman, 92, of Oklahoma City,Oklahoma passed into the arms of her dear Savior Jesus on April 7, 2012 and was welcomed into heaven by all her loved ones. Lois was born May 23, 1919 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Perry W. Cook and Sylvia Myrtle (Turner) Cook.
The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1929. Lois accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at the age of 14. She attended Foster High School in the 1930's. Lois was employed at Tinker AFB from 1967 to 1985, retiring after 18 years of service. She attended New Life Assembly of God Church.
Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Walker, two sisters, Kathryn Baccus and Lucille Flowers and her parents. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Patsy Straily; One granddaughter, Christina Wayland, one grandson, Nicky Strawn, numerous great grandchildren and other family members.
Services will be held 2:00p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Del City with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City,Oklahoma
