Loretta left this earthly home to sit at the feet of her Lord and Savior on August 6, 2022. She was born on July 23, 1943 in Oklahoma City to Ambrose W. Draper and Carrie Stout Draper. Loretta lived in Del City throughout most of her life until she recently went to reside in her brother, Ambroses’s, home in Bethany.
Loretta graduated from Del City high school in 1961. She later began working for the offices of Star Oil Company. Loretta met Jerry Lynn Owen and was married in December 1963. Jerry was drafted into the Army, and they were stationed in Germany. Upon their return to the States, they received a beautiful gift from God. They were able to adopt a beautiful baby girl named Diane Christine.
Loretta enjoyed music, quilting, working in her flower beds, and being involved in all her nieces, nephews, and “greats” lives. She most loved being able to share the message of the love of Jesus Christ. Loretta studied the Bible throughout her adult life, and used this to witness too many people, especially those at Master’s Market.
Loretta had a lengthy career as a secretary for Rose State College, where she was able to obtain her Associates degree in Business at the same time.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry. She married John Provence in 2015, where they continued to be faithful servants to the Lord at Meadowood Baptist Church until his passing in 2021.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Mark) Ragland | Brother, Lonnie (Jayne) Draper and children, Sharie (John) Robertson and children, Jeff (Heidi) and daughters, Chloe, Nikki (Tyler) Cotner and children, Easton and Eloise; Ronnie (Melanie) Draper and daughter, Laney; Cynthia Jones and children, Victoria and Christopher. | Sister, Melba Stiner and children, Tim (Chris) Carter; Kathy (Joe) Eagan and children, Paisley and Jake. | Brother, Ambrose (Patti) Draper and children, Amy (Josh) Coleman and sons, Ben and Jon; Preston (Meagan) Draper and son, Bruce. | In-Laws; Carolyn Owen-Turner; Richard and Jan Owens; Sherilyn Owen and nieces and nephews.
Loretta has a loving family who will miss her beautiful smile and strong faith that was present in her daily walk with the Lord. We would like to express our appreciation to the staff at Crossroads Hospice, Complex primary care, and NP Heather Stanley.
A memorial fund has been established in Loretta’s name for Masters Market, in care of Meadowood Baptist Church, MWC.
