Marie married Willie Thatcher and together they had five children. She was always staying busy with her children whether it was sewing, crocheting, or just spending time with them. Marie always put others before herself. When she and her family would go on camping trips, she would always make sure everyone else was comfortable before settling in. She and her husband owned a service station where she was the bookkeeper for many years.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Thatcher; daughter, Patsy Miller, and siblings, Walter Roberson and Doris Tanner. Survivors include her children, Gary Thatcher, Linda Janes, Deborah Brady, and Vickie Pack; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family members who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
