It’s taken me a while to write anything because it’s been tough. I have so many stories of us. From sharing a room for two years at St. Gregory’s, playing soccer, to camping in Colorado with a monk, it would twice over fill this box. 
I often think back to the camping trips in Colorado and how you and Larry pushed me to get to the top of a small mountain we decided to climb, and in the same trip you convinced me I could shave my face in the cold stream, only to laugh when I had butchered my face. I laugh at the many pranks we pulled on each other, and the pranks we pulled on others. I remember eating lunch with you and rushing back to the dorms to catch Dallas. We had a goal to watch it from start to finish, and nothing stopped us. You ran beside me during two-a-days when I was injured, and kept me positive, and assured me I’d make it. When you left, we talked often but not often enough. You were a great friend, and I’m glad you were on the path of my life’s journey no mater how brief it was. Rest in piece brother. It’s my turn to make sure you make it. 

Man this was hard news to hear about.  Mark was an integral part of my growing up.  He and my dad, Bennie, worked together at the youth center during my elementary and middle school days.  This place was my home and Mark was more than a friend, he was family to us all.  My condolences to his family and friends.  Mark, I will miss you, but I know that you’re resting peacefully and without pain

Sheri Walton summed up my feelings perfectly.  I was Mark’s last supervisor, however, he needed no supervision. He made my job so much easier because I trusted him explicitly to handle his workload.  It freed me up to concentrate on other matters. He was the consummate professional.  I’m in awe of his widespread impact. My heart aches for his family and friends.  He was a true gem. 

Mark was a wonderful co-worker and employee.  In spite of long term illness, Mark's work ethic was above and beyond everyone's.  He was also always pleasant to be around.  I looked forward to seeing him at each opportunity.  It must have been difficult at times to even come to work, but come to work he did!  He not only showed up every day, but did a stellar job supporting our customers and his co-workers.  He always had a smile or a joke that made my day better.  I'm sending prayers for comfort and peace for his family and friends.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

There are some people who leave such strong memories due to their exceptionalism. Mark is one of those special people. I worked with him for several years at the Tinker Youth Programs and he impressed me as one of the best co-workers I have ever had a chance to work with in my long working career. His optimism and integrity in spite of many challenges were an inspiration to me. My prayers for his family for comfort and many wonderful memories. I am so sad that his life has been cut way too short. However I am thankful I had the privilege of knowing him. I also appreciate the positive influence he had on the youth with whom he worked.        

Even though I have only known Mark since my arrival at Tinker AFB  three  years ago, he is someone I will never forget.    Mark always showed  a great work ethic  never complaining no matter how busy he was or how silly the question.  His love for his children was evident in the way he spoke of them and the picture that was constantly on his desk.   The only time I questioned anything  Mark  said was  when he would say that St Louis had a better baseball team than Kansas City which would usually lead to a friendly debate.   To his family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for sharing Mark with us.  He was a great person and will truly be missed.

I have never met a anyone with a work ethic like Mark.  His attention to detail was unmatched.  I so enjoyed working with him.  When managing the office on his own I never heard him complain even though he had tesponsibilities above his pay grade.  When he talked about his children, you could just see mow much he loved them and was so proud of them.  I wish miss you Mark, and will always treasure your friendship.  

Mark was a good man.   He had a very genuine spirit.  He was always patient and kind to me.  When I worked with him, he would just take care of things w/o saying anything.  I realized this after he left the youth center.  I always think highly of him.  The world is a bit more sad w/o him in it.  My image of Mark is of him smiling or making a joke.  I’ll keep that memory.  Prayers for his family and friends.
