On November 30, 2025, Mark passed on to be with his Lord & Savior. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bob Nation and his mother Geraldine Nation, his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark is survived by his two sisters, Sherri Lynd & Tammy Nation and his three nieces, Rylie Lynd, Lexi Lynd & Sunie Lynd.
Mark accepted Christ as his Lord & Savior at an early age and continued to keep the Lord at the center of his life. The Lord blessed Mark with talent in all sports, but he was especially talented in baseball. Mark loved baseball and played for many years. Mark was predicted to be selected for the Little League Baseball program. Mark was also a huge Oklahoma Sooners fan and loved attending the games and cheering on his team.
On March 20, 1975, a catastrophic spinal cord injury changed Mark’s life course. Due to the injury, Mark became a quadriplegic and faced extra-ordinary challenges on a daily basis, throughout his life. Although, this life-altering injury was extremely difficult, Mark remained positive. Mark changed his focus to excel in the academic arena. Mark not only went on to graduate from high school but also proceeded to earn a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Mark continued on to get his Juris Doctorate at Oklahoma City University School of Law and then passed the bar exam. Mark became a licensed attorney in 1991.
Mark used his personal experiences from his injury to go on to help others. His passion was to help others with Social Security Disability and Catastrophic Personal Injuries.
Mark loved his family and felt extremely blessed to have his three nieces, Rylie, Lexi & Sunie in his life. Mark enjoyed watching his nieces grow and excel in all areas of their lives.
Mark will be missed deeply by his family and friends. Although we are extremely saddened at the loss of Mark, we will remain positive and focus on the knowledge that Mark is in the presence of his Lord & Savior and basking in the Glory of Heaven.
2 Corinthians 5:8 (ESV) “Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord”.
