Mary L Dunn

Mary Lou Dunn of Oklahoma City, OK, born July 31, 1935, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 4, 2017. Mary was one of 12 children, daughter of Jim and Christine (Gabe) Parrish of Levesque, AR. She and her twin sister, Betty, learned early in life to work hard and loved working together. Mary was a people person and could talk to anyone. She loved working in her yard. At Christmas, you could always expect the most delicious candies. She kept a beautiful home and dressed elegantly. Later in life, Mary was a wonderful caregiver to her husband. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Diedrich (Shanks) Olson; 3 sisters, Reba Hodgins of VA, Janette Fabian of MS, Charlene Sullivan of TN; 3 brothers, Jim Parrish of MS, Joe Parrish of OK, Bill Parrish of AR, and one step-son, Bill Dunn of OK. Survived by husband Lyman Dunn of OKC; step-son David Dunn of OKC; son Joe and Barbara Young of TX; daughter Donna and Bill Shanks of MS; and 2 great grand-children, Lily and Mary Bet. She had many nieces and nephews. Mary was loved by all who knew her and will be missed. No services, as Mary will be laid to rest in Ark. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity.
