Mary F. Strunk, 90, died March 18 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She was born in Kinta, Oklahoma and graduated from Stigler High School in 1939. Mary enjoyed volunteer work at Midwest City Hospital for many years. She was a faithful member of Sunny Lane United Methodist Church for 51 years where she participated in various activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Chester Strunk, her father, Samuel King, her mother Mattie (Skinner) King, seven brothers, Virgil King, Alton King, Arvil King, John King, Edgar King, James King, and Dossie King, and one sister, Sallie (King) Smith. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Dian Strunk of Burlington, WI; granddaughters Kris Tibbetts and Karen Taylor and grandson Harry Strunk; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing, and swimming at Rose State Junior College.
Funeral services will be at Sunny Lane United Methodist Church, Del City on March 23 at 10:00 am. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests donations may be made to Lakeland Health Care Center, 3630 County Hwy NN, Elkhorn, WI, 53121 in Mary’s name.
