OBITUARY
M.C. Jackson
April 16, 1920 – July 31, 2013
MC Jackson, 93, passed away in his home July 31, 2013. He was born in Rouseville, PA on April 16, 1920 the sixth child of Arthur & Claire Jackson. Jackson served as a Staff Sergeant in the 570th Air Engineer 359 Air Serv. Group, 313th Bomb Wing from April 14, 1942 until Jan.3, 1946 receiving a Bronze Star, Good-Conduct Metal, and WWII Victory Medal. Jan. 16, 1946 he married Thelma Patterson of OKC. She preceded him in death after celebrating 61 years together. Jax worked 30 years as a sheet metal worker receiving his 60 year membership pin from Local 124 Retiree Club in 2007. He loved to fish, hunt and go back home to visit family. He is survived by his daughters, Shelba & Bill Norris & Sharleen McCurry; grandchildren Secret Rankin, Chad & Lupe Redwine; great grandchildren Colton Rankin, Sophia, Stella, & Isabella Redwine all of Richmond Texas; two siblings Albert Brown of S.Carolina, and Theodore “Ted” Jackson of PA. He has numerous nieces & nephews who knew him as Uncle Nee. His family would like to give a special thanks to his niece Toni & Johnny Birdwell, Del City, OK who assisted with his care, Ginny Osborn his caregiver & daytime companion and the comfort care staff; Kenisha, B.G. & Melanie from Excel Hospice. A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, Aug.3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens 500 SW 104th, Oklahoma City, conduct by Chaplain Dylan Cole.
