Melba Lee Johnson was born on January 4, 1934 in Magnum, OK to Fred and Doris (Herlong) Maxfield. On March 15, 2014 she went home to be with the Lord and joined Leo Johnson, her husband of 35 years who preceded her in death. Melba was a homemaker and former waitress who resided in southeast Oklahoma City.
She is survived by three children, Terry Yonnes of Midwest City, Linda Miller of Oklahoma City, Jimmy Yonnes of Oklahoma City;
five siblings, Lee Wayne Maxfield of TN, Rachael Weiland of NC, Ruth Ann Ogburn of Tulsa, Judy Smith of TN, Karen Bennett of Norman; five grandchildren, Michelle Miller Christian of CA, John Miller of WA, Jeffrey Yonnes of Midwest City, Amy Yonnes Grady of FL, Laura Yonnes Kilgore of FL;
and eleven great-grandchildren.
Melba will be loved and missed.
