Melissa enjoyed being around people. Her teachers and principals always said she was a “social one”. And she was – She never met a stranger and always welcomed people into her heart and her home. Sometimes she was a little too welcoming and found there were those who would take advantage of her kindness. But she still considered them friends - once a friend, always a friend. Melissa loved being in drama classes, and to sing karaoke. She was a free spirit, with a beautiful voice, and always talked about trying out for American Idol. She never followed that dream. She was very creative and artistic, a trait she proudly passed on to her daughters. Melissa was born on St. Patrick’s Day. She loved that holiday, and loved anything shamrock or green. On her birthday, she could always expect some sort of green item. If she ever grew tired of it, she never let on….she never said a word.
