Nancy Harrison-Goate was born June 19, 1951 in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the daughter of Reverend Jacob and Zonie (Gipson) Harrison. She passed from this life January 15, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 67 years. Nancy was a graduate of Wewoka High School, and had attended Bacone College and Rose State College. She worked as an Installer for Southwestern Bell, and later AT&T for over 30 years. Nancy served as an Elder for New Hope Fellowship Church. She served for 40 years as a Secretary and Treasurer of United Tribes for Christ. Nancy also served as Events Director of Kingdom Rockfest and as Promoter of Namy nominated music group. She enjoyed singing, fishing, cooking, baking, reading, hosting her family and outdoor activities. Nancy was an avid OU Sooner football and Oklahoma City Thunder fan. She enjoyed traveling to destinations such as Florida, Albuquerque, New Mexico and California. Nancy also had played a supporting role in the Chickasaw stage production “Te ata”, Warrior Princess at Bacone College. Nancy and Alfred were united in marriage on November 27, 1973 and enjoyed a long life of fun and memories until his passing on February 17, 2015. Nancy’s memory will continue to be cherished by her son; Winfred (Chico) Davis, brother; Larry Wayne Harrison, grandchildren; Erik Martinez, Erika Martinez, Savannah Davis, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, daughter; Gabriella Daphne Goate, sister; Catherine Harrison, brother; Gary DeWayne Harrison, and her in-laws; John Jefferson Goate and Athelena Fish-Goate.
