Nancy Omega Chisum Zumwalt, daughter of JB Chisum and Opal Chisum, was born June 1, 1940, in Comanche, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Comanche High School in 1958. Around 1969, she moved to Del City where she raised 4 children; Ginger, Zane, Vickie and Kim.
She was active in the PTA and was home room mother while the children were in grade school. Years later, she went to work for Century Martial Arts in Midwest City, OK retiring after 25 plus years.
She had a love for sports, especially basketball and softball. Coaching softball was something she enjoyed. For many years she participated in over 40 leagues for basketball and softball. Another hobby of hers was gardening; she spent hours in her flower garden, making any and everything grow.
She is preceded in death by her parents; JB and Opal Chisum, her brothers Wayne Chisum, Bill Chisum, Don Chisum, Gerald “Sam” Chisum, and her sister; Pearle Beck. Her son Zane Zumwalt and many other family members and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Ginger Coale, daughter Vickie Dearing and son-in-law Steve, daughter Kimberly Johnson, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, 3 wonderful sister-in-laws, Helen, Glenda, and Sue, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nancy will be missed by all her family and friends who loved her dearly!
