Nellie Lee Archer Smith

She married Carroll Smith in 1941 in Chandler, OK. Nellie retired from Midwest City Hospital after working there for 20 years. Nellie enjoyed quilting, crocheting and working in her gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Caroll Smith; son, Melvern E. Smith; siblings, Johnny Ray Archer and Mazie Ewing. Survivors include her children, Eugene Smith (Jane), Shirlyn Watts (Harold); daughter in law, Patsy Smith; grandchildren, Rene Smith (Calvin), Darrell Smith (Robin), Tammy Bomboy, Kristy Warren (Steve), Kendal Shetley (Glen), Timothy Smith, Travis Watts (Sheila), Kenneth Watts (Amy); 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Carl and Bill Jones, Lorene Honeywell, Alta Jo Thrower (Leroy), Rebecca Howser; sister in law, Shirley Archer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She attended the Living Love church and had many friends there. Her focal point was her Lord and church, then family and friends. She was a sweet and generous person and loved everyone. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Colonial Estates Nursing Home, Linda Foster, and all the working staff, that loved and cared for her the last 7 ½ years.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Living Love Christian Center, Shawnee, OK. Interment will follow at the Dale Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
