Norbert was born on June 6, 1927 to George and Viola (Klein) Cooper, in Blue Rapids, Kansas. He was known as "Swed". He served his country proudly as a firefighter in the Navy during WWII. Norbert was an avid Yankee baseball fan, involved in St Paul's Knights of Columbus, a beekeeper and a member of the Americal Legion for 22 years. He was a firefighter for Del City. His hobbies were fishing, woodworking and vegetable gardening. He is survived by his daughter: Pamela Mitchell and husband Rick; grandchildren: Tara Nixon, Jeff Nixon; great grandchild: Deacon Nixon; brother: George Cooper. Preceded in death by parents; brother: John Oliver Cooper. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, November 13, 2008 at St. Paul's Catholic Church
