Norval served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army and was Honorably discharged after two years of service. He enjoyed keeping up his yard, playing golf, bowling, fishing, and the OU Sooners. Norval had a contagious laugh and the ability to get an entire rooms attention.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leroy and Delbert Barton. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Violet Barton; children, Deena Curlis and husband Kenneth, Rhonda Drwiega, Tracy Barton and wife Kim; grandchildren, Raven, Joseph, Lisa and husband Preston, Craig and wife Teresa, Jeffrey, Trevor, Kameron; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Cicely, Zoe, Ean, Keely, Lauren, Noah, Sophia; brother, Bob Barton; and his extended family, Joe and Denise King, Debbie Fread and James Hurlock.
