Opal Dean Strickland

Opal Dean Strickland was born January 30th, 1947 to Ethel and Jesse Barrett. She fought until the very end, but cancer won the battle. She passed away at home on February 3rd, 2026 at the age of 79. She was the 5th of eleven siblings. She was a homemaker from day 1, always taking care of everyone before herself. She was a lover, putting the Lord and her family before everything. She married Charles Daniel Strickland on January 19th, 1979, and they had a loving marriage of 47 years. They loved every one of their grandchildren just as much as the other. They had a lovely garden and a wonderful household together.

Opal is survived by her husband, Charles; 6 children: Amy, Tommy, Jessie, Tabatha, Savannah, and Daniel; 5 grandchildren: Amber, April, Jessica, Jamie, and Sabrina; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home At Sunny Lane Cemetery, located at 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK, 73115, on February 9, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same location on February 10, 2026, starting at 10:00 am.
