Kay worked as a teacher for eight years and was later employed by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health for 20 years. Throughout her career, her mission was always to help others, often during the hardest times in their lives.
Kay’s favorite hobby was tracing her family ancestry. She created an incredible record of her family history through years of research. She also loved animals and found joy in her pets. She lit up telling stories about her dogs. She had also recently learned to enjoy video games and made new friends through online gaming.
Kay was unfailingly generous, encouraging, and positive. She loved her family, and her smile and warmth will forever be missed.
Kay is survived by husband Roy, sister and brother-in-law Karen and David Fowler, two nieces, Heather Basler and Holly Mace, four great nieces and a nephew, and her beloved pets, Ozzy and Gigi. Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
