Paul Brewer Allen

Paul B. Allen (8/1/1927-9/15/2023), son of Dr. EP Allen and Myrtle Brewer Allen passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded by his wives Patricia (Lorenzen) and Marg (Malson-Stout) and his brothers Phil and Robert. He is survived by Ben (Donna) Allen of Virginia, Mike (Melissa) Allen of Dallas, Lisa (Fred) Summers of Dallas, Suzanne (Todd) Wion of Houston, and Christi (Rex) Reum of Atlanta, and 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also survived by Marg’s family, Keith (Sally) and Loren (Kelly). Paul was well-known for his love of Jesus, his knowledge of the Bible, and his skill on the piano. Even up to the end he could be heard playing hymns from one of the several hymnals that he carried with him. He was a long-time member and elder of First Presbyterian Church of OKC, and most recently a worshipper at Crossing Community Church. The men’s fellowship there was a great encouragement to him and a motivation for his life and witness. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Paul attended Harding Jr. High and Classen High School before graduating from St. John’s Military Academy in Delaplane, WI. He then enlisted in the Navy until the end of WWII. He received degrees from Oklahoma Baptist University, Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA, and Princeton Seminary, NJ. His final three years have been spent with the faithful caregivers at Lyndale Senior Living Center, Edmond. Memorials of contributions on his behalf may be made to https://crossings.church/give

A graveside service for Paul will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 Se 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
