Was born to Elizabeth Griffith Patton and Grover Cleveland Patton in Glenpool, Oklahoma on October 11,1916. The legend is that he was born on Indian Territory in a teepee. Although we could never prove the legend to be true, we believe this was the making of the free and wild spirit of the man we call Daddy.
Paul proudly served his country for 25 years in the United States Air Force. These years included service in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Anyone who knew Paul knew that his passion was in his love for airplanes. Paul carried this passion with him into his career as an aircraft mechanic for the Air Force.
Paul lived a rich and full life taking in the new experiences each day. These experiences span from living in horse and buggy days, surviving the depression, seeing a man walk on the moon, to flying an airplane on his 80th birthday and learning the ins and outs of the technology super highway at 85,
His free and loving spirit still remained through illness and death.
Paul was truly blessed to have family and friends who loved him very much and will carry his memory with them always.
Arrangements under the direction of Sunny Lane Funeral Home and Cemetery in Del City, OK, 405.677.8384.
