On September 20, 1956 Lewis Daly and Helen (Ramsey) Daley welcomed Paula Jo Whitehead into the world. She returned to her heavenly home on February 1, 2016 in the presence of loved ones from the comfort of her home. One of her best childhood memories was created when she was just 5 years old singing special songs at Southwest Baptist Church. Music was always a part of Paula’s life; she loved singing in church, choir in junior high and playing piano. She could hear a song once and play along on the piano while singing. Paula achieved her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and spent most of her career as an Institution Advancement Assistant at Oklahoma City Community College. One of her proudest career achievements was receiving the Elven Gray Award for helping above expectations; this suited her as helping others was her passion. In 2007 she married Jerry Whitehead and together they enjoyed many jogs in the park, music and laughter. Paula loved her grandchildren and the great joy that they brought to her life. The thing that people will remember most about Paula is her contagious smile. She made a point of smiling at everyone because even when others are having a bad day she knew a smile could definitely help brighten it. Paula was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Helen Daley, Brother L.B. Daley Jr., Sisters Patricia Ann Whittington and Louis Maxine Daly. Paula leaves her husband Jerry Whitehead, Sister Cindi Daley Ruehl and Barbara Ownbey, Son Shon Loyd, Daughter Brandy Sunshine Loyd, Daughter-in-law Edie Loyd, Grandchildren Logan, Lorelei, Olivia, Liberty and Bronson.
