Darlene was born August 16, 1950, to Gladys and Roy Thompson in Hobart, OK. She grew up in Hobart with her family and attended Hobart High. Life was a whirlwind until 1979 when she met Nathan. Later in 1980 they were married and settled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a true animal lover who visited the Zoo often, but she especially loved her baby, Pee-Wee. She also loved and looked forward to the holiday season, especially all the cooking for Christmas and Thanksgiving. During the holiday season you could always count on a tub of holiday candy from Aunt Darlene. She was always giving to the people that she held close. She also loved the lights and sounds of the local Casinos and an occasional bingo hall.
She passed on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the age of 72 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK with her loving husband by her side.
She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, one son, one brother, one sister, several aunts, uncles and nephews.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nathan Spencer, daughter Sherry Smith, grandsons Kenny (Stephanie) Fisher, Clarence (Vikki) Smith, granddaughter Laci Morris. Great-grandchildren Cheyenne and Paisley Fisher, Aurora Smith and Britnilyn Morris.
