Phyllis Ann Killgore

She was born on March 20, 1940 to Francis & Vera Redmon in Edmond, OK.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of her deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She was a devoted Christian whose love for the Lord was evident not only in the way she lived, but in the countless prayers she faithfully recorded throughout her life. Her many prayer journals and notebooks are a treasured testament to a woman who carried the names, needs, and lives of others before the Lord in prayer. So many people were lifted up in those pages—family, friends, neighbors, and even those she may have only briefly crossed paths with. She believed in the power of prayer and faithfully interceded for others, often quietly and without anyone knowing.

Her heart for serving others was also woven throughout her life’s work. She spent many years as a nurse, caring for others with compassion, tenderness, and a servant’s heart. When her nursing career came to an end, she continued to find ways to serve. Most recently, she volunteered at the local thrift store, giving her time and energy to help others and bless her community.

For her, caring for people was never simply a job or something she did when convenient—it was a calling. Her faith compelled her to love, serve, pray, and give. She leaves behind not only the memories of a life well lived, but a legacy of faith and prayer that will continue to touch the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her prayer journals may tell only a portion of the story, but they beautifully reveal the heart of a woman who spent her life bringing others before her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her 2 sons Scott & Rick Killgore, daughter in law Melissa Killgore along with grandkids Creed & Cayne Killgore, Travis & Trevor Killgore, Amber & Aaron Killgore along with grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband RL Killgore, son and daughter in law Tony & Tammy Killgore, along with her parents Francis and Vera Redmon.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10am Friday, September 11, 2026 at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
