He served his country in the Normandy Campaign in France during WWII. He was discharged in 1945, and later retired from TAFB. He was a good husband, good father, good friend, and faithful Christian. He was revered and respected by all who knew him.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucy. 2 sons; Gary Clopton and wife Reta, and Roger Clopton. Grand-daughter Elise Clopton. Grandson Mark Clopton and wife Marian, and his beloved Great Grandson Rex Harrison Clopton. Along with numerous other family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Guy, and Aubrey and sister Hazel, and by Gary’s first wife Marian Mote Clopton, mother of Mark and Elise.
