Raymond Frederick Argo, Jr. was born December 15, 1928 in Argo, Texas to Raymond Frederick Argo and Alma Johnson Argo. He passed October 24, 2020. Raymond loved to hunt, fish, and engage in ballroom dancing. He was a skilled scuba diver and an instructor in that sport. In high school he was in track. Raymond worked as a brick mason and was President of the Bricklayer’s Union. He was also a member of the Catholic Church and the Masons. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
Raymond is survived by his son, Jonny Ray Argo and wife Mary Jane, and sisters, Sue Argo Puckett and Kay Argo Reed, both of Ardmore, sister-in-law, Barbara Argo, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris Nell Armstrong Argo, brother, Charles Argo, sister, Inez Argo Curlis, her spouse Clarence Curlis, and brothers-in-law Dan Puckett and Howard Reed.
Raymond was a loving father and husband who was a role model and mentor to many of his son’s friends. He will be missed.
