Richard Lee Olney passed away on March 16, 2021. He was born on July 11, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK to Billy Lee and Norma Lee (Ring) Olney. Richard was a longtime member of Southern Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he served as the head Deacon for many years, and then as an Elder. The church was his passion, and was where he met his wife, Julie. Richard was an accountant, and also owned rent houses. He enjoyed woodworking and playing dominoes. He and his wife moved to the country, where Richard loved taking care of his chickens. Anyone who knew Richard would tell you that he was very funny, ornery, and was a jokester with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, Billy Olney; wife, Virginia Olney; and son, Timothy Olney. He is survived by his wife, Julie Olney; son, Keith Olney; mother, Norma Olney; brother, Raymond Olney; sister, Regina Judd; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
