Robert Owen Craig

Robert Craig, age 67, of Oklahoma City, passed away after a lengthy illness on August, 25, 2010, at Norman Regional Hospital. Robert was born in Chickasha, Ok, and was a graduate of the Chickasha High School class of 1960. He remained in Chickasha until moving to Oklahoma City in 2007. Robert spent 25 years as a meat cutter, owned a small grocery store, and later spent 12 years as a cross country truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gospel music, and spending time with family and friends. Robert was a member of Laverty Baptist Church in Chickasha and more recently Heavenly Heights Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Robert was preceded in death by parents Robert Lemuel Craig, Eva Garret Craig, and step mother, Mamie Garrett Craig. Survivors include wife of 22 years, Debra Standridge Craig, of the home, daughter Robyn Baird & husband Marvin, grandchildren Whitney, Blake & Callie Baird of Midwest City, OK; daughter Christie Layman, grandchildren Heather & Niki Layman of Midwest City, OK; daughter Angela Collier, grandchildren Jaden & Jocelyn Collier of OKC; and numerous cousins and friends. Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 30, 2010, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Del City at 10:00am.
