

Bob, passed away at age 72 on November 7th, 2021 at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Bob loved sports especially OU football and softball, which he attended regularly. He officiated sports for over 40 years including football, basketball, softball, and baseball. Bob was instrumental in mentoring many young people throughout the years and gave them opportunities to be involved in officiating around the state of Oklahoma. He was a founder of the Central Oklahoma Officials Association in Oklahoma City. Through the COOA Bob was able to train officials and helped to launch officials into every level of competition from little league to professionals.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. Bob always had an infectious laugh and smile. Most importantly he loved the Lord with all his heart. He helped create a Saturday morning men’s bible study group at the Cross of Calvary. Whether it was leading praise and worship to acting as a church treasurer he did most anything he could to serve. Bob’s love for the Lord shined in everything he did and how he loved.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Dominga Prieto, and siblings Josephine Watts, Pete and Danny Prieto.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Dianna Prieto, and sons; Robert Prieto Jr. and Nikki, Franklin Prieto and Brandee, Glen and Ashley Prieto, Carl and April Prieto, and Daniel and Ashly Prieto. As well as grandchildren: Jimmie Prieto, Andrea Prieto, Derek Hodge, Kristen Prieto, Wyatt Prieto, and Rhett Prieto. Great grandchildren: Auvionna West, Saryia West, Kinsley Hodge, Lexi Hodge, and Sergio Prieto.
His surviving siblings: John Prieto, Frank Prieto, Juanita Baskell, Francis Rodriguez, and Mike Sweezy. As well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
