Ron J. Sharp

Ronnie J. Sharp was born October 7, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to J.E. and Eva June Sharp. He passed away peacefully at his home on November 21, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ron was 72 years old when he passed. Ron spent most of his life in the Oklahoma City area, but enjoyed visiting his family and friends, hunting and fishing in the Southeast Oklahoma area, especially near Tishomingo, Ravia and Milburn. Ronnie was an only child.

Ronnie enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, his boat, old cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite hobby, by far, was fishing. His 1985 Champion bass boat was one of his prized possessions. He loved to drive it across a glass-smooth lake as fast as it would go, the Oklahoma sunrise sparkling on its red and gray glitter finish, the wind whipping his face and the 175 horse Mercury outboard roaring behind him and throwing a tall white rooster tail. Ron knew the locations of many top-secret fishing spots throughout the state and how to get into (and out of) them. Ron spent as much time as he could exploring the lakes and ponds of Oklahoma, looking for big bass and slab crappie. He had an uncanny ability to find the fish, no matter where he went or how he fished. Ron is also remembered for his sense of humor and for generally being onery.

Ron graduated from Capitol Hill High School and was an automotive starter and alternator rebuilder for most of his life, opening Ron’s Rebuild Shop in 1984 in the Midwest City area. He worked hard building and running his business and was an expert in his field when he retired.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Justice and his son, Randy Sharp. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jonathen McCarter, Heaven McCarter, Evia Sharp, and Violet Sharp, and his great great-grandchildren Anna McCarter, Catherine McCarter, and Roselynn McCarter.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents J.E and June Sharp.
