Ron attended Del City High School and Rose State College. He remained close to home and family, living in and around Del City for most of his life. For many years, he worked at Braum’s Bakery where he held numerous positions, including bread mixer, cookie mixer, oven loader and many warehouse duties. Later, he transitioned to Braum’s Maintenance, where he especially enjoyed traveling from store to store.
He loved being around family, especially all the kids. Ron frequently played the role of “favorite uncle” and is well known for providing many fun “firsts” to his nieces and nephews when mom and dad weren’t looking.
In November 2003, he was blessed with his own child, son Matthew Stewart, to whom he remained especially close all his life. Ron was also a creative spark to the family, enjoying and excelling at both visual arts and culinary arts. His drawings and paintings still hang in his mother’s home. He frequently served as family photographer and keeper of the family photos. And he could often be found in the kitchen, cooking for his family and ensuring their taste buds were never disappointed. Ron was, is, and will continue to be loved by many and missed just as much.
Ron is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Mary Stewart; father, Bobbie Stewart; sister, BJ Gray; and brother, Gary D. Stewart.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Stewart; his mother, Sylvia Stewart; four sisters, Cindy Like, Mary Stewart, Michele Stewart and Bobbie Pearson; four brothers, Tom Stewart, Casey Stewart, Steven Stewart and Paul Stewart; and many nieces and nephews.
