Rosa M Firkins

Rosa M. Firkins was born March 30, 1933 to Murvill and Mabel Bruce in El Reno (Reno), Oklahoma. She passed away January 12, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. In 1954 she married Donald Firkins and together they had 4 children. She retired from Southwestern Bell where she put in 25 years of service. She was very active with her church, where she sang in the choir. Rosa enjoyed travelling and had been to several countries. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald B. Firkins; her grandson Ronald B. Firkins, Jr.; granddaughter, Ruth Firkins; great-grandson, Caden B. Firkins; and the father of her children, Donald Firkins. She is survived by her 3 sons, Donald Firkins, his wife Angela, and their five children, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah, Joshua, and Hannah, of Hamburg, Germany, Gary Firkins of Oklahoma City, Larry Firkins, his wife Melesa and son Larry, Jr., of Newalla; grandson Chris Firkins, his wife Gwen and their four children, Atalie, Lydia, Zack and Elizabeth of San Diego, California, great-granddaughters, Stephanie Firkins of Australia and Serenity Firkins of Newalla; brother, Edwin Bruce, his wife Sonja and their children, Mike and Melanie. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1pm at the Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
