Rosa Deanna Weaver, passed away on December 6, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. Rosa (also known as Dee, Deanna, Poochie, Grandma, Grandma Weaver, Aunt DeeDee, LittleLil and Sweetheart) was born on July 3, 1941, in Richmond, Virginia, to John Walker Callison and Lillie Harriett Callison, both deceased. Rosa is preceded in death by her Sweetheart, Robert Lee Weaver. Rosa was never complete after the love of her life passed away and she longed to be reunited with him, as well as with her Lord. We are comforted in knowing they are together again for eternity. She is further preceded in death by her siblings: Raymond Lee Callison, Dorothy Elizabeth (Callison) Craig, Ella Mae (Callison) Bennett, Shirley Lorine (Callison) Snow, and John Walker Callison, Jr. Rosa is also preceded in death by her grandson-in-law, Cory Herell. She leaves behind two precious siblings: a sister, Annie Sheets of Fishersville, Virginia, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Loretta Callison of Swoope, Virginia.
Rosa grew up and married Bob on April 3, 1961, in Staunton, Virginia. They were blessed with three children: daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tim Sardis of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Roger Gambill, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Weaver, of Papillion, Nebraska. They were further blessed with six grandchildren: Jamie Herell, Megan Honeycutt, Emily Sardis, Ally Weaver, Lexi Crowell and husband Sean Crowell, and Peyton Allen; and three great-grandchildren: Jaxson Honeycutt, Paige Herell and Madisyn Honeycutt.
She will be forever remembered for her contagious smile and amazing laugh (cackle) but has blessed the rest of the females in the family with the same infamous cackle. She loved the Lord her God beyond measure, and she and Bob gave that gift to their three children when they all became Christians together in 1977. She leaves behind a legacy to honor, along with many friends, family, nieces, nephews, siblings, and other acquaintances that will miss her tremendously.
Special thanks to Tracy, Terry, Jennifer and Tara at SSM Health Hospice Services for loving mom in a very special way during her illness. Also, a special thank you to Harrah Nursing Center for caring for mom and keeping her comfortable in her final days.
