Rowena "Ronnie" Louise Burnett

Ronnie retired from Southwestern Bell where she worked in clerical positions for many different departments. She made life-long friends and was a positive influence during her career at SWB. Ronnie was always faithful to her church and served in a variety of roles throughout the years. She was a preschool director, youth Sunday School teacher, volunteer coordinator, and concession stand boss, among other roles. Most recently she attended Wilmont Place Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

Ronnie loved to read, make crafts, sew, and fish. She did everything with her whole heart never backed down from a challenge. That was especially evident when she would out-fish every man at the lake and then put on a fish fry with the best fried fish and potato salad you ever ate!

Ronnie is survived by her husband, Gordon, of the home; daughters, Teresa and husband James Stanfill, and Sandy and husband Darren Bean; granddaughter Tracy Lucas and grandson Jordan and wife Emily Stanfill; great-grandson Andrew Lucas and great-granddaughters Zoey and Eilee Stanfill.

The family would like to thank the folks at Good Shepherd Hospice, especially Sheree, Katerina, Kim, and Brandy for the care they gave to Ronnie during her time of need.

A graveside service for Ronnie will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 Se 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115, with reception to follow at the Sunny Lane event center.
