

Roy Joseph Montambault, 87, passed away on October 1, 2020. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 15, 1932 to John Harold Spiracos and Lucille Montambault. He was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. As a young boy, Roy worked in the paint and hardware store that his grandfather owned. He was a hard worker all of his life. After high school, Roy served in the United States Air Force, and was in the service during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He retired as a Master Sergeant for the Air Force after 22 years of service.
Roy graduated from OCU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He then started work as an Inspector for Urban Renewal, and then later was a Construction Inspector for the City of Oklahoma City. Roy was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Roy married Runelle Fraser in Wayne, Michigan on November 22, 1952. They were married for 67 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille. He is survived by his wife, Runelle Montambault; daughter Judith Myers and husband Tony; son David Montambault and wife Annie; daughter Ann Marie Montambault; daughter Kathleen McClure and husband James; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Sandra Young; brother John Spiracos; and many other friends and family.
