Ruth Lenore Kirkham, 85, went home to Jesus on January 1, 2017, and was surrounded by friends and family as she graduated peacefully to Heaven. Ruth was born on May 6, 1931 in Fairview, KS to Herman Paul and Alice I. (Dewese) Wenger.
Her greatest joy on earth was her family. She considered many as grandchildren, and loved the Word of God, taught Sunday school and studied the Bible diligently. Ruth adored her husband Don, he was her perfect mate. She was humorous, extremely strong, and considered God to be her strength in all things. Ruth loved cooking and eating; even when ill she would often instruct as to details to make meals perfect.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her husband Don, 8 children (and spouses), a brother and sister-in-law, and a brother-in-law. 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and countless others who knew her as Grandma Ruth.
