Shirley Troyer passed from this life on February 7, 2021. She was born on July 22, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended Grant High School. She was married to the love of her life, Daniel Troyer on June 21, 1968. Shirley and Dan were blessed with two children, Melinda Powell and Tim Troyer. She worked in the lunch room at several Oklahoma City Public Schools for over 40 years retiring from Capitol Hill High School in 2014. Everyone loved her cinnamon rolls! She was a Sunday school teacher years ago and enjoyed crafts. She enjoyed taking trips with her family and having all of her grandchildren around. She also loved all of her animals over the years including her good boy Nacho and more recently Rugrat. She will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Vawter, Jr., and grandson, Matthew Powell. She leaves behind her loving family, husband Daniel Troyer of OKC, daughter Melinda Powell of OKC, son Tim Troyer of McCloud, mother Erma Vawter, sister Sharon Coursey, grandchildren: Tony, Curtis, Kirsten, Timmy and Ashton, and one great-granddaughter Sophia; as well as many other loving family and friends.
