Thelma Jo Wilcox
June 21, 1933 – March 23, 2018
Thelma Jo Wilcox, 84, of Choctaw, passed away March 23, 2018 at her home. She was born June 21, 1933 in Denton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jim Bob and Nellie (Wilkinson) Alexander. Thelma had lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Gordonville, Texas. She retired with Western Electric after approximately 25 years of service as a Supervisor. She enjoyed crochet, ceramics, reading and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed baking and for several years had Jean & Jo’s Fresh Fried Pies at the State Fair. She also enjoyed sending and receiving cards and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmy Don Wilcox; grandson, Edward Wilcox; and her siblings, Ruby Dot Alexander, Lemuel Alexander, Dudley Alexander, Pauline Alexander, Johnie Alexander, Henry Alexander, Imogene Alexander and Rosie Mae Alexander. She is survived by her children, Steve Wilcox (Debbie) of Goessel, Kansas, Sheryl Borg (Dennis) of Del City and Ricky Joe Wilcox (Sharon) of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Candice and Rodney, Richard and Lanita, Jimmy Don II, Shalina, Nicky, Jody, Melanie, Joshua, Katy, Becky, Jeri, Robin, Sam, Doug, Brandi, Harry, J.J. and Dee; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10am at the chapel of Sunny Lane Funeral Home with Chaplain Tony Alvarez officiating. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
