Thomas Allen Massey

MASSEY, Thomas Allen, age 85, Oklahoma City, OK passed away to join his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 27nd at 9:17 am. Thomas was born October 2, 1935, in Wetumka, OK to Lawrence and Mary Massey. He is survived by his two sons Thomas II of Oklahoma City and Kevin, of Miami, FL. 10 grandchildren (Jennifer Massey, Shannon Porter, Kevin Massey II, Steven Massey, Natalie Kathain, Sarah Provancher, Katherine Massey, Victoria Carroll, Julia Tebbe, Johnathan Tebbe) and 15 great-grandchildren (Christian, Kolby, Klayten, Haiden, Eastyn, Kennedy, Axyl, Alli, Erin, Megan, Ryder, Jackson, Elijah, Jacob, Logan). He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Peggy and daughters LaDonna Tebbe and Lawren Massey, one brother Harold Massey of California.

Thomas graduated from Weleetka High School and the Oklahoma University with a degree in Music. He was the co-owner and publisher of the Holdenville Daily News from 1967 to 1970 with his wife Peggy. He retired from the U.S. Army as a full colonel.

Thomas was a long time member and volunteer of First Southern Baptist Church and Sooner Baptist Church. He played trombone and participated in the church orchestra.
