

Fair Winds and Following Seas to you Ret Sr Chief Petty Officer MCRS Troy O. Lollis. Born at Blackgum Mt. OK. April 19, 1927 passing at home in Choctaw on Dec 2, 2020. Along with his family he survived the dust bowl and was a real “Okie” moving to CA in 1937, began working the fields at 10 to help his family endure with Napa Valley being a second home. He served his country honorably for 24 years, was a WW II era veteran, was in the occupation force of Japan after the war, was a USN recruiter, served through the Korean and Vietnam War. While on recruiting duty in Seminole OK he met Betty Myrick, they married Jan 17th 1958. They adopted Troy Allan in 1961 though while stationed in Scotland he passed away from a rare blood disease in 1962. Late in 1962 they adopted Susan in Norfolk, VA. and adopted Johnny in OKC in 1966. Though Betty and Troy divorced he still held strong feelings and expressed interest in members of her family. He retired from USN in 1970, from TAFB in 1987, and was self-employed owning rental property for 30 yrs. Troy loved gardening, woodworking and building things. He called bingo at Elks for 20 yrs and visited veterans at the VA home in Norman. Troy was also preceded in death by mother Madge Lollis of LA; father John and wife Ann Lollis of CA; brother Lodie and wife Loretta Lollis of CA; sister Pat and husband Al Ghringhelli of CA; brother T.C. Lollis of CA; sister Wynema Paul of CA. He is survived by his daughter Susan Lollis of Midwest City; Johnny Lollis and wife Dianna of Choctaw; grandchildren Krystal Nathan and her husband Nick; Shelby Lollis and husband Daniel; Tristan Breeden; Paige Lollis; Cooper Lollis; Caleb Breeden and Sarah Trent and her husband Justin. Great grandchildren include Aurora, Malika, Lanae, Olivia, Mathew, Lily, Bella, and Liam. Though he was the last of the elders in his family he was close to his nieces and nephews Patti and wife Magin, Marshall and wife Lori, Juli and husband Erik, Michael and wife Lacey. Troy was a member of the Midwest City Elks Lodge #1890 for 33 years and a member of the Fleet Reserve Asso. Branch #238 for 38 years. In remembrance one can make a donation to the Midwest City Elks #1890 or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
