Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Vaynell Roselene Richardson (“Neen”), 85, passed peacefully on December 7, 2021, one month to the day from the passing of her beloved husband, Arthur Richardson. Vaynell was born March 8, 1936, in Oklahoma City to William T. and Hazel F. Mead. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Samuel Mead. Vaynell attended Crooked Oak High School and later earned her GED. She retired as a civil servant from TAFB. In 1952, she married Arthur and after his military service, they returned to Del City where they raised their three daughters. Vaynell is survived by her daughters Victoria Bill and Merrie Schneider of Del City, LaDonna Dorsey (Joseph) of Novato, CA, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Neen loved being a mother and grandmother. While the loss of her is great, she has returned to the loving arms of her husband. They will forever be in our hearts and we will share their memories until we see them again.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made to St. Jude’s Children‘s Hospital in Vaynell’s memory. Our family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice, her wonderful nurses at SSM, caregivers, neighbors, and granddaughters.
Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Sat. Dec. 11, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
