Vickie Lynn Clark

Vickie was born on June 9, 1954, in Joplin, Missouri, to Nadine and Robert Sparks. She was a woman of warmth, wit, creativity, and strong conviction.

She married William Charles Clark on December 6, 1975. During Bill’s military career, the two traveled the world together, making a life filled with new places, new experiences, and plenty of stories. Their adventures became an important part of the life they built together.

Vickie had a pre-law degree from Rose State College and a brilliant way with words. She loved writing letters to friends and family and could turn a phrase with the skill of an artist. She cared deeply about justice, equality, equity, and love, and she believed firmly that “this too shall pass.”

She was endlessly curious and loved learning new things, especially the kind of random facts that nobody would expect. She taught her children to ask questions, look for their own answers, and remember that there was always more than one way to see things.

Vickie was also an amazing cook and baker. Her peanut brittle was legendary among family and friends, and Christmases and birthdays were never just ordinary days when she was around. She believed special occasions should truly feel special, and she had a way of making the people around her feel that way, too.

Music was an important part of Vickie’s life from an early age. She was a member of the inaugural class of the Del Aires, the award-winning select choir at Del City High School. As one of its first members, she helped establish a tradition that would become an important part of the school’s musical legacy. She graduated from Del City High School with the class of 1972, carrying with her the friendships, laughter, and music that remained a meaningful part of her life.

Vickie was intelligent, passionate, funny, stubborn, loving, and completely her own person. She had strong opinions, a sharp mind, a generous heart, and a wonderfully unmistakable way of being herself. She leaves behind not only the people who loved her, but the stories, traditions, recipes, words, and lessons she gave them.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Bill Clark; her sister, Connie Alagood; her brother-in-law, Mike Alagood; her nephews, Michael Alagood and John Alagood; her children, Brad Clark and Chelsea Clark; and her grandchildren, Levi Coltz, Ethan Clark, Katelynn Clark, and Collin Clark.

She will be deeply missed, deeply remembered, and deeply loved.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. A catered reception will be held following the service, and all are invited to attend.
