Walter “Walt” Neal Swords, 61, of Oklahoma City went home to be with the Lord December 2, 2021. Walter was born on October 24, 1960 to Shirley and Raymond Swords in Sterling, Illinois. He attended Polo Community High School in Polo, Illinois.
Walt retired from QB Fabrication and Welding. He began spending his spare time working on trucks/cars, watching as much football as possible, was a die hard Green Bay Packers fan, became a father to 5 fur babies (Peewee, Sasha, Lucy, Rickey, and Worm), and loved watching and feeding animals in nature such as butterflies, squirrels, and birds.
He is survived by wife Valerie, of the home; son Timothy Hood (T.J.); daughters Jeanni Harms, Arriel Lawrence, Athena Lawrence, Shandi Ruiz, and Chelsea Hart; Sisters Nina Petters and Virginia George; 8 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by mother Shirley Swords; father Raymond Swords; brother Tom Swords; and a great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 3901 S. Sunnylane Rd, Del City, OK 73115 on December 9, 20212 at 11 a.m.
